colorado’s judicial system in crisis

Many Colorado citizens are not familiar with how Judges get seated on the bench, how they keep their positions, and how they can be removed… and the Colorado government doesn’t seem to want to educate its citizens on that. There have been a number of scandals involving the Judiciary, including the resignation of one of the top judges in the State due to a bribery scandal! It is not far from the realm of possibility to imagine that if the top judges who have far more oversight are engaging in this behavior, that our small town judges who have little oversight can wield their authority in a manner that hurts the people they are entrusted to make judicial decisions for. It is our position that has occurred in the 22nd Judicial District- primarily with Hon. Judge William Y. Furse. We attempted to use the system the way it was supposed to be used and followed all the rules and still were denied justice. We believe that the Citizens of the 22nd Judicial District of Colorado deserve to know what their judges are doing- especially when

WE HAVE NO SAY IN WHO GETS SELECTED TO “RULE” OVER US AND WE HAVE VERY LITTLE RECOURSE TO REMOVE THEM WHEN THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING OR ENFORCING THE LAWS.
