The Complaint Process
Currently, the only mechanism available to complain about a judge is through the Colorado Judicial Discipline Commission- a commission plagued with controversy and recently in the news for failing to set up a citizens’ review board. They are the central repository for complaints about judges and they operate in secrecy. Complainants are not entitled to information and often do not even receive a complaint response.
Sending a complaint to the Judicial Discipline Commission is akin to mailing your complaint to Antarctica. You can’t participate, you can’t be there, and you’ll get frozen out if you try to ask them.
We know, because we tried. Check out our complaints and the responses, if received on the next pages!
